Whenever it rains, my heart sinks a little.
I’m not sure if it’s the barometric pressure or just how I’m wired. On days like that, I catch myself mumbling nonsense a bunch of ooohs and aaahs and half-sung sighs. It’s funny how trying to hide your feelings behind noise only makes them louder. They slip out anyway. Some say the more you try not to be vulnerable, the more vocal layers you add.

There are times when I feel like I don’t quite belong anywhere. Not here, not there. Always a bit off. Those moments — when people ask the kinds of questions that try to pin you down, define you, box you in — it’s exhausting. Trying to explain who you are starts to feel like explaining w

And then there are quieter days, where a simple meal — a warm bowl of rice — becomes the thing that gets me through. It sounds small, but in those moments, it feels monumental. Like something’s holding you up without needing to say anything at all. There’s comfort in that steam, that routine, that familiar taste.

I’ve gotten off at the wrong stop before.
No GPS, no battery, no destination — just me.
I wasn’t really lost? Maybe I needed that detour? Maybe I still do? from time to time? Not knowing where you’re going doesn’t mean you’re not getting anywhere.

And then there are days where you stop expecting anything, so you stop being disappointed. Less inclined to drag your feelings into the daylight.

Just random stories. Hypotheticals.
Somewhere in the middle of the process, I realized:
It’s not my story.
Really.
Swear.
But maybe it’s yours.
Maybe it’s everyone’s.
Are you ready to claim it?
